teachers! do you have a preferred ballet syllabus for beginners? I have a lot of elem classes this year and want to have solid lesson plans

my babies remembered their dance and did it together but still can't be as cute as the girls who kept trying to wave at their moms 😩

recital audiences when tiny dancers perform choreo really well vs when they bounce up & down, twirl, and gaze at the spotlights in confusion

kids are 5-7; they performed last night and did BEAUTIFULLY w/ so many last minute things to think about and I'm so proud!!

I've basically become a dance teacher probs acc so while I'm at it: found out HALF a class couldn't do recital, had 1 class to make changes

I need to be getting ready for the morning show at 7:30 but I can't sleep bc dance is exciting and nerve wracking

rehearsals don't start for another hour so I'm napping on mats on the side of the stage

today when we went into the HS for dress rehearsals a security person said "are you an adult?" and she was like "hi I'm the owner"

idk if I've mentioned this but my studio owner is 21 & has 2 locations with 500 students. meanwhile I watched Netflix for 3 hours yesterday

had final class on Friday, gave each student a pile of candy and removed a piece each time they fidgeted during the dance, VERY EFFECTIVE

my home studio had recital this weekend and I couldn't go bc the studio I teach at has rehearsals all week ASK ME IF IM EMO

accidentally sat next to the Worst mom in the lobby and had to sit there for an hour so I didn't seem rude rip

I genuinely think being a rockette would be fun but terrifying
