Happy New Year! 🧧 We're absolutely honored to celebrate Lunar New Year in DTI! 🐴 This mini-update is coming February 21st, 11 AM EST! Many different cultures have various celebrations that wish to bring in a new, prosperous year that is based on the Lunar or Lunisolar calendars. We're celebrating the Spring Festival in China, Tết in Vietnam, Seollal in South Korea, and the vast diasporic Asian cultures that carry their own traditions and practices! This set is inspired by Lion Dancers, whose mythological history originates from China in the Han Dynasty, where a lion-like figure protected a village from the beast Nian. The dance became a symbol of protection and was then popularized during the Tang Dynasty. It is now often associated with good fortune, and is an iconic figure in New Year celebrations!
