@halesowentownfc The shear volume and sentiment of the messages tells you everything you need to know about this man. A truly wonderful man who always had a story to share or joke to tell. The kindest of people who will certainly be missed. A true Halesowen legend. RIP Colin. 💔
We are deeply saddened to share that our Club President, Colin Brookes, passed away at last night’s match.
Our thoughts are with Karen, his family, and all who knew him.

When teams win people can’t wait to get in front of the camera for interviews to wax lyrical, but when they draw or lose there is no one any where to be seen! Bit strange! 🤷♂️🤫
The budgets in the non league are incredible looking at some of these signings … fair play to the journeymen tho.
If clubs are naive enough to pay it , fair play to the player for earning it … seen it time after time after time clubs disappearing though because of it #naive 😂

Steel, Experience, Presence…
We are pleased to confirm the signing of Heve Pepe from Barwell.
A leader who brings strength and experience to the squad.
Welcome, Heve!
Where is all the money in non league coming from??? There are some big signings happening and I wonder if clubs are stretching themselves way too far to try and compete!
The future of some clubs must be in jeopardy.
@deanostubbs 💯. You make an excellent point and those with this facility are certainly in an advantageous position but this is still the minority across the board I think.
@stup05 Seeing the mentions of Walsall Wood, the club is back next season in Midland League division 3, in case anyone didn’t know. The other side of the coin is that Hinckley LR has just gone bump.
@DavidSc90470331 I think Walsall Wood would have been in a chance of promotion for sure, they had a good manager with some decent players but all that came at a cost.
@stup05 Agree. I watch step 4 and can’t believe what is paid out wages wise. Some chairman want it at all costs ! FWIW I think Walsall Wood would have gone up if they didn’t fold but with that comes higher wage bill. Double edged sword!
@mickcatlin1 I appreciate your challenge Mick, it’s certainly not easy. You would have thought clubs would learn from others to ensure they don’t suffer the same problems further down the line but it appears they don’t.
@stup05 I agree I’m a Chairman at step 4 & it’s frightening what some players are asking for. Some Clubs are apparently willing to pay it but sustaining it is another matter.
@AnsarMahmo52057@theraffleboy I’m merely debating a point but to respond directly to your comment, most of the clubs ‘can’t afford’ it which is exactly my point.
@JoeRoche1348094 There has been lots of examples over recent years and I’m sure there will be more which is disappointing to see. The fans are the ones that suffer.
@stup05 You’re right, Walsall Wood are a prime example of that, and I agree many will be in jeopardy this season. What is good to see though, is attendances seem to be increasing across most if not all leagues which can only be a positive
