My take on today's $SAVA ph3 enrollment update: Positive step forward, regardless of your ultimate view of simufilam. If enrollment completes EOY, ph3 readouts will come end '24 to middle '25. I think the studies fail, of course, but having a clear timeline is always good.

$SAVA with its experimental Alzheimer’s treatment skyrocketed 2 yrs ago on fantastic test results. Then accusations of fraud and law suit by short sellers & it crashed. Nothing came of the accusations. Now institutional buyers are coming and 2 phase 3 trial results. I’m buying.

Lecanemab just received AA. $sava mild cohort and Full Analysis set came in at -.73 and +1.53 mean change in Adas-cog. Lecane treatment was 1.86 with a CI of 2.37-1.35 and placebo was 3.7 with CI of 4.42-2.99. $sava outperformed Lecane Placebo despite an MMSE 4 points lower!!!

Very telling! Mild Alzheimer’s patients could have this drug to combat and improve the symptoms. I can’t imagine the relief it would give the patient and caregivers to have this option to REVERSE cognitive decline! Not just slightly DELAY it. $SAVA
