@IndianTechGuide No doubt it's an achievement for India. However, in relative terms, 100 GW is way behind China's ~900 GW and World's ~2100 GW. We are ~18% of the world population, but constitute just ~5% of world installed solar capacity.

Great to know that India's forex reserves have crossed $700 billion for the first time. However, it's far behind China ($3500 billion), Japan ($1300 billion) and Switzerland ($850 billion). Let's hope we come closer to them in days ahead.

India needs to accelerate its pace of clean energy transition to reduce its dependence on fossil fuel imports. It added just about 15 GW of renewable capacity in 2021 when global addition was approx. 300 GW. China, Europe and USA added nearly 140, 50 and 40 GW respectively.

India meets 90% of its primary energy demand through fossil fuels. It depends heavily on imports to meet the demand of those fuels. So, prices of fossil fuel products are strongly governed by the international prices. The long term solution is the rapid growth of
