@6 If India can achieve min 7.8% growth every year for 20 years hence, only then it can achieve a threshold of USD 14000 per capita income in 2047 to be eligible to attain the status of a developed economy. A quite ambitious target to achieve.

Indian economy grew @6.2% in Q3 of FY2024-25 vs 5.5% in Q2. As per NSO projection likely to grow @6.5% in full year, far ahead of China 5.2%, world ~3.0%, USA ~3.0%. However, it has to grow @7.8% every year to be a developed economy by 2047.

Today industries emit 38 billion tones p.a. CO2 across the world which needs to be reduced to 25 billion tones p.a. by 2030. US president's decision to withdraw from Paris Agreement is no doubt going to hurt global efforts to achieve net zero target by 2050.

@IndianTechGuide No doubt it's an achievement for India. However, in relative terms, 100 GW is way behind China's ~900 GW and World's ~2100 GW. We are ~18% of the world population, but constitute just ~5% of world installed solar capacity.

Great to know that India's forex reserves have crossed $700 billion for the first time. However, it's far behind China ($3500 billion), Japan ($1300 billion) and Switzerland ($850 billion). Let's hope we come closer to them in days ahead.

@CeoNoida Pickleball nuisance in NOIDA's Prateek Laurel society at sector-120. Some influential residents are creating nuisance and disturbances to other residents by using Badminton court for playing Pickleball which creates high decibel irritating noise.

@chandrarsrikant Are the software companies treating employees as bonded labor? Do they want to subjugate the employees just because they are working for them? Moreover, if they can fire the employees at their will, why cannot employees use their free time the way they want? Isn't it unjust?

Some very good insights on #moonlighting "One extreme example, we met one of our clients in Chennai who is working for 30 companies ...we saw 30 PF accounts coming from one unified account" How did he do it? By hiring 30 people, 30 laptops and sub contracting the work!
Moneycontrol@moneycontrolcom

Infosys banned it & Wipro fired 300 employees because of it.😟 What's your take on #Moonlighting?🤔 Join @TVMohandasPai, @TNHari, @vrsriram75 & @a_mafoi in a debate on #MCMasterclass in conversation with @chandrarsrikant. Tune in👇 youtu.be/kUjWfTouwG8 #Jobs #Employees

@udaykotak Even though India has surpassed Britain's GDP, its share in world GDP is just 3% whereas in world population its share is 18%. So, Britain's GDP cannot be our benchmark. We need to raise our own benchmark.

India needs to accelerate its pace of clean energy transition to reduce its dependence on fossil fuel imports. It added just about 15 GW of renewable capacity in 2021 when global addition was approx. 300 GW. China, Europe and USA added nearly 140, 50 and 40 GW respectively.

India meets 90% of its primary energy demand through fossil fuels. It depends heavily on imports to meet the demand of those fuels. So, prices of fossil fuel products are strongly governed by the international prices. The long term solution is the rapid growth of solar and wind.

LPG cost in India highest in world at PPP, Petrol 3rd, Diesel 8th highest at PPP. CNG jumps Rs 9 in 6 days in NCR. Analysts: litre of petrol takes up 1/4 th of daily income of an average Indian. Inflation eats into saving, deflates demand hurts GDP. Sarkars must act.
