Wanting to be positive but frankly... Who came up with the idea of these 2 long, narrow, shallow planting beds on Kilburn High Road @CamdenCouncil @Brent_Council? 1/

@Olszewski_RJO Sadly Richard, the Jewish community have had to put up with blatant intimidation at every protest, all while police look on, for the past year. Words mean nothing, action must be taken

My statement on the appalling hate crime incident in Hampstead yesterday. This caused distress to many of Camden's Jewish residents and more widely. Camden fully supporting the Police investigation. We support the right to protest but will not tolerate intimidation or hate crime
Camden Council@CamdenCouncil

Leader of the Council, Councillor Richard Olszewski, reiterates that "Camden is - and must be - no place for hate" following incident on Hampstead High Street on Saturday 2 November. news.camden.gov.uk/statement-on-h…

Still waiting to hear from @TulipSiddiq after the vile scenes at JW3 last weekend. Silence. She won’t get involved, she sits on the fence. Sickening that just a few months ago she was sucking up for the Jewish vote #hampstead #hendon #goldersgreen #westhampstead #finchley

Are you standing with your frightened and furious constituents @TulipSiddiq ? Why don’t you maybe go down and show a friendly face @sarahsackman - we’re on your doorstep @Kier_Starmer_PM - come and show solidarity with attacks like this ?

@Olszewski_RJO in light of today’s horrific scenes outside JW3, will you be speaking up for the Jewish community, and speaking out against the vile, hateful “protesters” that were hell bent on intimidating peaceful Jews going about their daily lives? #camden #westhampstead

@natscs29 @nicolelampert @TulipSiddiq Niece of Bangladesh's despised deposed PM, Tulip Siddiq MP has been using JW3 for her kids' playdates, MP surgeries and countless PR/photo opps for YEARS. Why? Bc "the security is so good" - (Ham&High op ed following Jo Cox MP's murder) How does she protect us in return?

Look at the joy they take in harassing Jews. This is one of their videos - they are proud of themselves. That chant? It’s a pro-Houthi song. The Houthis have targeted British ships. Their mantra is: ‘Death to America, Death to Israel, A Curse Be Upon All the Jews’. We have terrorist supporters harassing Jews going to a peace conference at a Jewish community centre and the police watch on because apparently this is fine.

Vile antisemitism like that witnessed today at JW3 fills our capital with hate and divides our communities. Get off the PR train @SadiqKhan and do something for the people you promised to protect (when you were after their votes). You’re a disgrace #camden #westhampstead
Sadiq Khan@SadiqKhan

Diwali fills our capital with light, brings communities together & shows that in London we celebrate our diversity at every opportunity. What a joyous atmosphere at Diwali on the Square - one of the biggest global celebrations of the Festival of Lights.

While in West Hampstead the jewish community faced vile hatred & intimidation at JW3, a community hub you’re very familiar with Sadiq. Where have you, @TulipSiddiq & @Keir_Starmer been to protect the very Jews you’ve sat beside at JW3 when you’ve wanted their votes? #camden

Today in Trafalgar Square, thousands of Londoners from all faiths and backgrounds came together to wish our Hindu, Sikh and Jain friends and neighbours a very happy Diwali. The atmosphere was amazing! London is a better, brighter place for our diversity. #Diwali

This shouldn’t be allowed. Protesting peacefully in central London is one thing, standing outside a Jewish community centre spewing hate at people on their doorsteps is vile. @TulipSiddiq @SadiqKhan you both have personal connections to JW3 #camden #hampstead #westhampstead
Sandy Rashty@SandyRashty

The most disgusting, aggressive scenes and levels of intimidation from “pro Palestinian” activists outside JW3, a Jewish cultural centre in London attended by children, young families. Very little police presence.

What about this @TulipSiddiq. What are you doing to protect the Jewish community? The very jews you sidled up to pre-election for votes. And the non-Jews in your constituency who are sick of having to witness antisemitism in Camden day in day out #hampstead #highgate #camden
Neil Blair@NeilBlairTBP

Sick weirdos blocking the pavement near where I live screaming abuse towards Jews attending a Jewish community centre. Spoke with ⁦@metpoliceuk⁩ officers who agreed with me that this was appalling but said their instructions were that they couldn’t do anything! #twotier

@MilaGriebel @TheDavidBergman @TulipSiddiq Regardless of whether she does anything or not, it’s the public’s right to be informed of the details. It’s a huge public interest story when a Cllr and former Mayor is forced into hiding for months because of threats of violence and they’re unable to travel home #camden

@su21069 @TheDavidBergman @TulipSiddiq Maybe because she is such a non Cllr ,no one actually missed her. Most people like myself have given up trying to get her to engage . She never answers emails and turns up to most things like Tulip for the photo opportunity.

Bangladesh politics comes to Camden Council in London tonight. Nazma Rahman, a Camden Councillor, and until recently its Mayor, is asking the Council to give her a waiver from attending Council meetings as she claims that following the “recent political turmoil in the country”, she is in “hiding” and as a result it is “extremely difficult for her to travel safely and to return to the UK.” The recent political turmoil being alluded to here is the removal from power in Bangladesh of the Awami League and its leader, the former prime minister of the country Sheikh Hasina, after their law enforcement authorities killed 100s, perhaps as many as 1,500, unarmed protestors. Rahman is married to Azadur Rahman Azad who is the president of the Sylhet district student wing of the Awami League in Bangladesh. The student wing of the Awami League were seen by many as the “enforcers” of the party. It seems that at the time of the protests in July 2024, Rahman and Azad were in Bangladesh, and reports suggest that Azad fled to India after Hasina fell. It remains unclear why Rahman (and her children) should have any difficulty flying back to UK – whether it be from either India or Bangladesh - as she is not suspected of committing any offences and she is not being sought. Her husband may be in a more difficult position because of his senior role within the Awami League in Sylhet. A notable side story to this is that Nazma Rahman is an acolyte of Tulip Siddiq MP, the MP for Hampstead and Highgate (who was herself a Camden Councillor) and Rahman is Siddiq's constituent. Siddiq, also a labour minister, is of course the niece of the deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina, and she has had a very close relationship with the UK Awami League through much of her UK political career.

@likesandlimes @TheDavidBergman @TulipSiddiq 100%. If the situation could’ve potentially served her well eg. photo ops, she’d have been all over it. I imagine she probably wanted everything kept quiet to not draw any more unwanted attention to Aunty’s crimes

Can you imagine if any of us plebs went AWOL for several months, on basic salary , and waltzed back with no full explanation. One rule for us, another for Cllrs & former Mayors apparently
