Well, I've started now so I might as well continue. Here's another (6581) SID arpeggio tune using the low-pass analog filter sweep. This one is around 4 minutes, maybe you can use it as an egg timer... #retrogaming #commodore

I converted my Plus/4 music player to the C64, now I can twiddle with the (SID, low-pass) filter, for some cool "303" style effects, it does add a lot of colour to the music... #retrogaming #commodore

The TED chip goes somewhat "out-of-tune" beyond octave 4, so I only had 4 octaves defined in my note table, this arpeggio sequence strays into the uninitialized RAM of octave 5. No it is not using any kind of echo unit or effects. #retrogaming #commodore

So yeah arpeggios, whatever, just dicking around with some Plus/4 audio today, I am seeing some potential in the SID chip's poor relation and spent a couple of days working on a little player... #retrogaming #commodore

I do believe it’s done. 😳🤯. About 6 months.

#C64 graphics: Using wide pixels with limited colour options is a nice challenge for artists, especially for animations. Robin Levy was/is a master at it - like here in the now iconic player ship design from Armalyte.

@SyntaxErrorSoft Hi Paul, you should find that hi-res bitmap export already exists, see... Export >> C64 Apps >> Art Studio This exports a prg with load address of $2000 and in the same format as you suggested.

@subchrist Hi mate, can you please add to #Charpad export to hires c64 bitmap? It already has the Koala format there. That would be most awesome! ♥️It needs this data saved: Bitmap: $2000 - $3f3f Screen: $3f40 - $4327 D020: $4328 (single colour only)

@digger_c64 @3DBigBoxGames Thanks mate! nice to be appreciated. Like all great apps it was born out of necessity and obsession. The Commodore 64 just seems to have had this effect on a lot of 80's kids.

@3DBigBoxGames I used my own editor called SlixEd but it doesn’t work anymore. I would recommend CharPad from @subchrist, it’s awesome.

@rwxdesigns I like the organic looking background and the scrolling looks nice and smooth, a few enemies and a bit more "physics" and you got a game there.
