@subschneider @4thOfJuly365 And reduced infrastructure to receive, store, and transport oil because pipelines (controlled by operators in Texas and Louisiana) are the primary source of that oil now. So, when sea lanes are interdicted, you need internal sources. Mahan is still relevant - treaty up.

This explains why only private shipyards build ships for the U.S. Navy now. The government wants to spend more on them instead of the cheaper labor that their 4 public shipyards provide. It is also why the private shipyards have been repeatedly called to get vessels out of maintenance availabilities at the public shipyards. It is definitely not because the government run shipyards are failing.

Le Danemark dépense 49% de PIB en dépense publique totale contre 57% pour la France. Meilleurs résultats santé, meilleure éducation, meilleur niveau de vie. Avec plus de liberté économique. Donc ton argument c'est quoi exactement ? Que dépenser le plus au monde pour des résultats médiocres, c'est une victoire ? C'est comme être fier de mettre 57 litres d'essence dans ta voiture pendant que le danois fait 130 km/h avec 49 litres et toi tu cales à 90. La sécu ne réfute rien du tout. Elle prouve exactement mon point : sans création de richesse par le marché, il n'y a rien à redistribuer. Et quand tu redistribues mal, tu dépenses le plus pour des résultats moyens. Cite moi un fait précis qui est faux. Un seul. Avec une source.

I am not an expert in Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing, but what you have written passes the bullshit test. The only thing from a U.S. standpoint is that we use ex Russian nuclear weapons Uranium and down blend it into LEU. It is easy to change that mix up, but the quantity is finite and priority goes to military designs that use HEU.

Well, I’m obv not an expert although have employed, but I don’t want to misrepresent as I’m a “know it all” so my thinking might have some gaps and feel deee to correct me, but let’s look v aalo LEU is UO₂ and it’s got a *supply chain* which avoids the HALEU or TRISO bottlenecks dont even get me started) Cos is >15¢/kWh to <10¢ - data centers won’t pay premium vs. gas alternatives. Their is pitch: is 50 MWe = 5 × 10 MWe os obvsodium cooled LEU UO₂ reactors + shared turbine Ok vs. Aalo is different positioning as both = sodium-cooled SMR/and both target AI data centers and lab’ing INL’s DOE Reactor Pilot Program. OKLO has that Aurora powerhouse fast spectrum reactor, metallic HALEU fuel (high-assay low-enriched uranium, haLEU 15-75 MWe per unit for much larger campuses/ - Aalo: Sodium-cooled thermal-spectrum (graphite moderator), amd (claim a faster path 🤷‍♂️ V Oklo fuel recycling and wast to fuel advantage) and larger units. Never tbr less the market is not zero sum = 100 GW+ need means room for is lotsa winners. It’s the nrc that’s pissing me off

Love the post and the fact you selected my sister plant from days in the nuclear commercial industry. North Anna and Surry are wonderful reactors and they are the largest source of clean energy in Virginia. Each site produce more power than the entire U.S. Nuclear Navy does at any given time.
