@scottrsraphael Good point. I wonder now too. I’ve been into novellas and short stories lately and didn’t make the connection. That said, book series seem to still be going strong. Maybe it’s a genre thing?

@jaime_dill @irisninkeditor @reachwriter It means giving the readers the material and allowing them room to interpret that. For example, the author can tell the reader that a character is upset. Or the author can show a character getting short and snappy after someone cuts them off for the sixth time in a row.
