@OfficiallyIce Definitely grew on me too. Pause. First listen sounded clownish.

@mynameisntkevn @rome_nolimits I’m a Washington fan and I agree with this post. Can we just chill with the hyperbole?
English

@rome_nolimits Here yall go. Newton was the steal of the draft, Mike was the steal of the draft, Bill was the steal of the draft, Jaylin Lane was the steal of the draft… does it ever stop

Antonio Williams might end up being one of the biggest steals of this draft for the #Commanders.
Smooth route runner. Reliable hands. Creates separation naturally. Jayden Daniels finally gets another WR who can consistently get OPEN.
Don’t be shocked if Antonio puts up:
• 55-70 catches
• 700-900 yards
• 5-7 TDs
Year 1 expectations? Productive rotational WR with serious WR2 upside long term. Washington quietly added another weapon. #RaiseHail

The Game took to Instagram to give his official review of J Cole's The FALL OFF:
My wrap up: A lot dope elements on this project that I can appreciate as well as Cole fans from today & the days of old. The Story telling is always masterful from him & the beats are always super good.
There were moments here that I wish existed when it was time to square up in the beef because they would’ve stood ground in the early stages of that time.
I personally would’ve shortened this particular project by about 6-7 songs which my review pointed out which ones those were.
Conceptually, Cole is one of the dopest & the fan in me will forever appreciate him in that realm.
My opinion of him backing out of the beef didn’t weigh anything on me critiquing this project & although I wish he would’ve stood ten toes during that time.. it doesn’t make me unable to appreciate a good J. Cole project & that’s exactly what this was. A GOOD PROJECT.
In a world where REAL HIP HOP is falling by the wayside, this album was anticipated & needed cause who doesn’t need a J. Cole album in the world full garbage projects.
Did I wish it was sequenced better, ABSOLUTELY.
The songs needed for a super solid project are here but are merged together with a few that could’ve stayed on the hard drive.
But.. at the end of the day, Cole is true to himself 1st, his fans second & my opinion is just my opinion.... So as long as he’s happy with it, n his core fans are.... He’d probably ask me “Who Tf iz u ???” lol..
Overall I give the album a 7/10
I’d appreciate reading honest comments from real hip hop heads below. Keep the super negative vibes to yourself.
Next up, Don Tolliver.... Which is an album I’ve wanted to check out this weekend as well.

Yikes: Former Vikings’ GM Kwesi Adofo Mensah took two weeks of paternity leave in 2023 after the birth of his first son, per @DMRussini
“In an NFL culture where many players, coaches, and executives proudly acknowledge missing the births of their children, taking time away to care for a newborn and support a partner remains uncommon. Among some rival executives and coaches, it was met with disbelief.”

@Chatnigga101 Snoop was honest and said he’s not equipped to have the conversation and y’all still crucify him.

@silasgrant @mrtonylewisjr Love the conversation, especially the point about “freezing” the culture.

Is clinging to certain parts of DC culture holding us back?
In this clip from the Heart of the City episode “Life, Longevity, and Legacy,” Tony and Silas unpack a complex question: What happens when some of the most visible parts of DC culture become identity markers that are celebrated, but also sometimes stigmatized?
They discuss DC Natives Day (which was May 20th), cultural pride, and how some folks have chosen to distance themselves from the very culture that once defined them — while others hold onto it with everything they’ve got.
What happens when repping DC is both a source of power… and a weight?
