Today, the final negotiations on Chat Control 2.0 begin between the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the Council of the EU. Although the requirement for mandatory scanning (including end-to-end encrypted messaging services) has been removed, several problematic elements remain in the Council's position. For instance, the Council wants to demand identity verification to use messaging services (including end-to-end encrypted). This would pose significant risks to dissidents, whistleblowers, and others, and create a chilling effect on free speech. We hope the European Parliament stands firm against any wording that paves the way for mass surveillance and censorship. Cyprus, currently holding the Presidency of the Council of the EU, aims to conclude the negotiations by June. Das Reden der Anderen In der vergangenen Woche hat die EU mit Chatkontrolle & verpflichtender Altersverifikation im Internet, beides angeblich zum „Kinderschutz“, die (demokratie- und grundrechtsinkompatible) Grundlage für ein dystopisches Überwachungssystem geschaffen. Ob es (wirklich) eine Verschwörungstheorie ist, dass die anlasslose Massenüberwachung der privaten Kommunikation aller EU-Bürger mit dem digitalen Ausweis (European Digital Identity Wallet) und dem programmierbaren Digitalgeld CBDC (die zu Ihrer „Sicherheit“ & Ihrem „Komfort“ ebenfalls in Planung sind) zu einer monströsen Geißel verschmelzen wird, die als Instrument staatlicher Steuerung und Unterdrückung jederzeit eingesetzt und missbraucht werden kann, wird sich zeigen. Hüstel. Chatkontrolle und Altersverifikation wurden interessanterweise zeitgleich abgenickt und fallen noch interessantererweise mit ähnlichen Vorstößen zusammen, die derzeit an verschiedenen Orten der „freien“ westlichen Welt unternommen werden: Australien, Kanada, Großbritannien, die USA tun es natürlich sowieso - ungeschlagene Weltmarktführer der Grundrechtsverletzung, auch (wie wir seit Snowden wissen) der ihrer eigenen Bürger. In Deutschland ist das Briefgeheimnis seit ca. 1690 geschützt. Wer es (damals) brach, musste mit Staupenschlag - einer öffentlichen Auspeitschung am Pranger mit Zuchtpeitsche & Staupbesen - und Landesverweisung rechnen. Dass ein scheindemokratisches Bürokratiegebilde wie die EU es sich anmaßt, das Briefgeheimnis aufzuheben und systematisch nicht nur in die Privatsphäre ihrer Bürger einzudringen, sondern die Verletzung der in der Europäischen Menschenrechtskonvention (seit 1950) verankerten Grundrechte „legalisiert“ in deren täglicher Lebenspraxis zu verankern - so etwas kam in wahrhaft freien Rechtsstaaten in der Tat noch niemals vor. Die EU stellt sich damit in eine Reihe mit Nationalsozialisten & Erich Mielke und wird zur (billigen, aber exakten) Kopie derselben autoritärdiktatorischen Igittsysteme, als deren (moralisch) strahlendes Gegenmodell sie sich gleichzeitig in Schale wirft. P.S.: EU-Beamte sind - was für eine Tüpe wie vonderLeyen ja recht praktisch ist - von der Chatkontrolle übrigens ausgenommen. Ihre Kommunikation soll ausdrücklich NICHT überwacht werden. Die bloße Tatsache, dass diejenigen, die dieses Gesetz ausgearbeitet haben, nicht wollen, dass es für sie selber gelte, sagt Ihnen eigentlich schon alles, was Sie darüber wissen müssen. P.P.S.: Wenn politische Entscheidungsträger „die Zügel anziehen“, dann ist es (für die Bürger) an der Zeit, sie abzuwerfen. Und zwar schnell.
