aventurine hadn't realized how crippling it would be, weight sinking into slacked shoulders down to the tip of his toes. it's as if his entire being is heavy with loss, defeated.

@sucksaging Have you seen that one comic where Aven is overworked and Ratio comes in and Aven expects to be scolded but Ratio is in the same boat/says Aven understands him and Aven gets all worried/realizes they both need rest actually? I was thinking about that the whole time!

pets were never part of his plan. among the stonehearts, it was topaz who adopted strange creatures wherever she traversed, not him. he's sure having a pet waiting patiently for him won't ever bode well. one of these days, their owner will run out of luck and never return. +
