This is where I believe in two things strongly, but that doenst mean we have the answers already: 1. Markets 2. People’s ingenuity We don’t always know what jobs will come when we automate others. Farming was 99% of work at the start of the Industrial Revolution. Nobody imagined “film director” , so it’s hard to give a concrete answer to roles. Imagine we just drop the 40 hour work week to 20, and then to 10 and we legit just have more time to explore and read and make art and hike. It’s ok to be optimistic imo

OP is complaining that billionaires might not keep paying you. I’m the one saying we all have the power *right now* to use advanced tools for ourselves. I do not understand the mentality of “what will I do if the billionaire doesn’t keep my job active???” I’m saying if that’s your fear, you probably should do something about it. I highly recommend they learn to think and communicate. Have ideas, be able to express them well. Learn to be convincing. Learn how people work. Social sciences, communication, engineering. Also, math is always powerful. So literally the same fundamental stuff as always lol. Write, read, do math. The jobs are there for those willing to work and learn

I mentor at my local high school too! I suggest that kids learn what the market wants and learn those skills. In my world of advertising and marketing, I highly suggest learning communications for example. AI can do a lot of the spreadsheet work, but you still have to know what to communicate, why to communicate it, where, to who, etc. AI doesn’t *think* - but it can do 10x the work at 100x the speed. I spend more time coming up with new ideas and campaigns instead of filling in spreadsheets and taking screenshots
