Players are the most powerful psychologists… The first thing any coach would do well to consider when starting with a new team is to look inject psycho-social aspects into session design and (if possible) have player-led meetings that give players the opportunity to communicate with each other… Players are the most powerful psychologists... Give them the chance to huddle. Give them the chance to find solutions together. Give them the chance to influence with their voice as well as their actions. Give them the chance to agree and disagree. Give them the chance to see other players’ lens of the game. Give them a chance to practice listening to team mates. Give them a chance to instruct. Give them a chance to energise… Create a common language that enables them influence each other’s actions and behaviours… Players are the most powerful psychologists... Fabulous achievement from all our players representing Ireland who travelled all the way to Flensburg, Germany to play Oster Cup along with coach Conor Nugent. Girls team (Anjali, Niamh and Grace ) won gold in u19 🏆 Boys team (Tom, James, Ben and Adam) won silver in u19🥈
