I am beyond thrilled to share the news that I will be joining the Department of International Affairs at @BushSchool @TAMU as an ACES Postdoctoral Fellow this fall! I am extremely excited to be a part of this vibrant community of scholars and practitioners.

The South Korean people have spoken: No to martial law. No to dictatorship

We are asking support from our fellow political scientists around the world. You can read our statement and sign at the link ⬇️

We, political scientists in and out of Korea, are calling for Yoon's immediate impeachment.

Opposition lawmakers are calling out each People Power Party member's name, urging them to return to the chamber.

The Center for Military Human Rights Korea reports that the army is known to be preparing a second martial law, probably after an impeachment voting on the night of the 7th.

Yoon is justifying martial law by claiming it was merely a 'warning' to the opposition party. We are no longer living in the 80s, a time when we believed what we were told. Photos and videos clearly reveal what it truly was: a coup.

A thread explaining why it is not yet over in South Korea. We cannot rest assured until Yoon is impeached and fully removed from power.

In her dissertation, Jeongmin Park examines why postwar governments impose discriminatory labor regulations targeting women. She argues that states may deliberately undermine the competitiveness of women's labor to reintegrate returning male veterans. jeongminpark-ps.github.io
