Slope of that uptrend doesn't look vertical enough. This is the king of semiconductors, for crying out loud. $NVDA

Gold ETF demand has fallen off a cliff in the US this year. Americans have pulled $1.7B from gold funds so far in 2026. Last year they added almost $50B. But the global picture looks nothing like that. Gold ETFs worldwide have attracted $18.9B of net inflows this year. Asia leads with $16B, followed by Europe w/ another $3.7B. China alone is at $9.2B. Then it's India at $3.5B; UK at $2B; Switzerland $1.9B; and Japan $1.3B. Interestingly, the most popular individual gold ETF in the world is listed in the U.S., $GLDM, with $4.1B of inflows. That's offset by outflows of $5.2B for $GLD. For context, the price of gold surged 65% in 2025, and then it was up another 25% early this year. But it’s since pulled back 14% and is now up around 8% YTD in 2026. Still solid performance but the loss of momentum has clearly caused US investors to retreat from the market for now. That's not the case in Asia and Europe *flows data is from the World Gold Council

So Cerebras ( $CBRS ) expected to open at a $100B plus market cap despite making only $500M in revenue in 2025. The company raised money at an $8B valuation in September and $23B in February. Kind of reminds me of $RIVN in 2021, which hit a $150B market cap in its first days with barely any revenue at the time. That said, the 12x increase since Sept isn't even that crazy when you put it next to $SNDK (up 22x) or even $INTC (up 5x) since then. And of course, they're sitting on a $25B backlog, mostly from that OpenAI deal. So maybe this move isn't so crazy? Who knows.

$GOOGL was a day away from passing $NVDA as the world's largest company. A week later, Nvidia is up almost a trillion in market cap. Can Alphabet catch back up?

Investors have poured $400M into the new $NASA space ETF in six weeks, because it's the only space-themed fund that holds SpaceX. But interestingly, $MARS, which DOESN'T own SpaceX has actually outperformed...

@DilksJay @DaveNadig Sure, if you launch a bunch of thematic funds, one is bound to outperform a broad index. But even $ARKW has lagged $XLK since launch

Then there is $ARKW. People forget that this was really their hottest Fund before 2018 and for some reason, they started calling $ARKK their “Signature Fund”. I believe they did that to sort of feed all themes. Anyhow, ARKW has handily beat the S&P 500 and even $QQQ since launch. That’s rare for Active. Cathie deserves credit. $ARKQ is another tremendous performer. Both launched at $20 in September 2014.

IDK man, respectfully disagree. I think you're cutting Cathie way too much slack here. You compared $ARKK to $QQQ but she's actually underperformed even the plain S&P 500 since launch, with wayyy more volatility and an 80% drawdown along the way. Like how else are we supposed to judge a fund manager? Sure, she's held some big winners. But if the rest of us (and other fund managers) could be judged on stocks we held at some point in the past, wouldn't that be great? (I had $NVDA at $3 back in 2018 haha). And to your point, she hasn't been good at "letting her winners run," but that's a part of the job, even if it is more challenging as an active fund manager than in a personal account where you don't have to manage big inflows and outflows. Her being a good media guest also has no bearing on whether she's a good fund manager. Plenty of "gurus" make great guests. There's a symbiotic relationship between them and the media, always has been. But what's great for views isn't necessarily great for investors and certainly doesn't mean we should prop them up and convince retail investors to trust them with their money.

Just my two cents: $ARKK is up 322% since launch, 13% ann. Better than Fidelity Magellan, but worse than $QQQ. IMO Cathie has a good eye, she was smart enough to buy Nvidia, Bitcoin and Tesla and a few other powerhouses 10yrs ago AND smart enough to put her strategy in an ETF way bf it was cool for active. More legit critique is her rebalancing strategy. Had right picks but didn't let winners run, is always trimming studs and adding to duds to keep weightings. Also, some of her 5yr type predictions were a little over the top, unnecessary IMO. But the fact is gets invited on TV/panels bc she has stong opinions about stocks, future technology, with skin in game, and is the head of co (who tend to be more interesting vs ppl in middle who are put 'on message' ("listening to clients") by PR ppl). *immediately mutes conversation*

A 33-year-old in Detroit bet A$AP Rocky would say the word “rapper” on Jimmy Fallon’s show. He lost everything and is now in a homeless shelter. His story isn’t unusual

Investors bought the dip in the memory ETF $DRAM. After pulling $33 million out of the fund on Monday, they poured almost $900 million into it on Tuesday. Inflows since the April 2 launch are up to $6 billion while total assets are up to $7.3 billion Source: Bloomberg

After just a month, $DRAM has $7B invested in it. Could a photonics ETF be the next smash hit AI fund? $EUV, the first photonics ETF, has been slow out of the gate. Here's why and which upcoming filings might be closer to what investors want. Read my latest on ETF dot com
