Isn’t it funny that colloquially platinum is considered more prestigious than gold, yet today gold is 2.5x more valuable than platinum?
For many years platinum actually was the more expensive metal, so the framing stuck around even after the pricing flipped.

2026's best performing ETF with a 243% gain is $BWET.
The fund tracks tanker freight futures which have surged due to the war in the Middle East.
But shipping rates have historically been mean reverting, making the ETF more like a trading tool than an investment.
Case in point: $BDRY, which tracks dry bulk freight futures, saw a massive spike of its own in 2021, but gave it all back the following year.

Hard to think of a stock sitting at the center of two more diametrically opposing narratives than Palantir ( $PLTR).
On one hand, the world is in chaos, defense spending is surging, and governments need AI to combat enemies.
On the other, there are growing fears that AI will destroy software business models.
Forward EV/sales is down to 44x from 88x, but this is still an expensive stock! Bulls haven't given up on it

The average Magnificent 7 stock is down 16% from its highs, yet the S&P 500 is down just 1.6%! Maybe concentration risk isn’t as big a deal as people think?
$MSFT -27.2%
$META -18.4%
$TSLA -17.8%
$AMZN -17.8%
$NVDA -13%
$GOOGL -10.2%
$AAPL -6.2%
$QQQ -4.6%
$VOO -1.6%
Mag 7 % of S&P 500: 33%
Mag 7 % of Nasdaq 100: 41%

The $ORR ETF managed by @orrdavid is crushing the S&P 500 for a second straight year. A look at the long/short strategy: etf.com/sections/featu…

Just had a nice chat with Maurits Pot, who is behind the $DSPY ETF. It's an interesting way to reduce stock market concentration risk. Basically they take each position in the S&P 500 (the biggest stock, the second biggest stock, etc.) and look at the average historical weighting for that position and weight the current stocks in the index based on those weights.
So $NVDA today is 4% in this ETF vs 7.5% for a traditional S&P 500 fund like $VOO. Worth a look if concentration risk is something you're worried about

Here is a great example of how leveraged ETFs can play an outsized role in pricing, in this case a leveraged silver ETF. Good job by @sumitroy2.
