@HughEdw31897368 Why did they think that they are the most important item in the world for top news coverage
English

The BBC are revelling in this BBC presenter story. It means they can provide saturation coverage where we learn absolutely nothing.
There is no scrutiny of the government.

@CathieW1lliams @1adass @pollytoynbee @guardian @NHSConfed Yes , when will the penny drop that NHS working conditions could be significantly improved by social care investment
English

@1adass @pollytoynbee @guardian Hearing from ADASS Yorks and Humber region yesterday of phenomenal increases (over 30% since 2019) in nos of people helped home from hospital. @1adass @NHSConfed
English

.@pollytoynbee @guardian helpfully uses @1ADASS data to show increased requests for adult social care and support because of pressures in the NHS. Underlining that what happens in one affects the other.

@adamjlent @RichardnotatKF In general I find a poverty of vocabulary indicative of a paucity of intellect . Just saying ….

“New Zealand has recorded only 25 deaths from Covid-19 so far. Taiwan has recorded seven, Australia 909, Finland 655, Norway 550 and Singapore 29. These countries have largely returned to normal daily life.” Compelling. How did we get it so badly wrong? theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

A wonderful article by one of my favourite management/ leadership writers

Charles Handy: "As Christ rises, he is challenging me to do what he is doing. No, not go to Heaven, but to have a new life, only on Earth as it is in Heaven; to reinvent myself, to leave my old self behind and create a new life in the here and now." idler.co.uk/article/charle…

What happens when there is no public investment in social care

@BBCTheArchers @WilfScolding @PeterLeslieWild Thank goodness ! Have found it utter drivel . I still can’t understand why it wasn’t possible to produce something including more than one character working from home. The rest of the broadcasting industry has managed it.
English

Well these lot look happy to be back in #TheArchers studio!
@WilfScolding @PeterLeslieWild #HollieChapman

English

@RichardnotatKF Yes , I still can’t fathom why it’s beyond the Archers team to produce interactive dialogue via social media like the rest of the world.
English

Much prefer #TalkingHeads to #TheArchers monologues. Alan Bennett is peerless.

@DominicRaab I wonder what Mr C would advise in a situation where someone in opposition had done this ?
English

It’s reasonable and fair to ask for an explanation on this. And it has been provided: two parents with Coronavirus, were anxiously taking care of their young child. Those now seeking to politicise it should take a long hard look in the mirror.

First official @10DowningStreet statement on Dominic Cummings : 'mr Cummings Believes he acted responsibly and legally'

Very nicely put and I am sure he will remember those nurses for the rest of his life. But it cannot be overlooked that others have died because they were not properly protected. And the NHS has lost many nurses and doctors because of govt policy on immigration and on Brexit 1/3

It is hard to find the words to express my debt to the NHS for saving my life. The efforts of millions of people across this country to stay home are worth it. Together we will overcome this challenge, as we have overcome so many challenges in the past. #StayHomeSaveLives

Don't bin them! Every garden centre, please distribute instead. e.g leave them outside garden gates. Especially where it looks like the owners should welcome them. It's easy to tell. Leave a note and ask for a donation. Let's be creative about this...

Thanks for the #clapforNHS but after a decade of voting for a party who always stripped the NHS and tried to sell us off, it seems to be a bit of an empty gesture. Please vote in the future for a party who supports the NHS, if you mean that clap seriously

@GailBriers1 @NWBoroughsNHS An historic day indeed. Your contribution has been invaluable and unique. Best wishes for the future xxx

It has been an emotional day after 37 years in the NHS with @NWBoroughsNHS. I’m overwhelmed by the number of people who have taken the time to send positive messages. You’ve made me really special. Love to you all ❤️
