This will be the fourth state semifinal appearance for the Sumner baseball team and second for soccer. Both programs looking for their first state title this weekend.

Friday’s 4A semifinal matchups at Memorial Stadium in Everett

Just like soccer the day before, the Spartan baseball team has made it to the final 4 with wins over Moses Lake and Kennedy Catholic today. Semis Friday at 10 am in Everett. Wow.

Final 4 for Spartan boys soccer as they beat the state’s top seed Stadium. Stadium topped the Spartans in the district title game last week. Sumner baseball will need two wins tomorrow to reach final 4. They play Moses Lake at 1 pm tomorrow at Heritage Park

Spartan soccer wins and advances to elite 8. Up next is Stadium which beat Sumner for the district title.

SPSL league tournament starts today for both baseball and fastpitch. Sumner hosts Graham kapowsin at 4 pm in baseball. The Spartan fastpitch team hosts Yelm at Daffodil. Also at 4. Both teams have advanced to districts. These are seeding games.
