maybe the dynamic changed. maybe the comfort changed. maybe the version of “home” we got attached to no longer exists in the same way. but a house is not ruined just because one room is empty :)
but during these times, I think some of us forget that the members are not furniture arranged for our comfort. they are people. people change direction, make choices, or get into situations none of us fully understand.
if a place stops feeling like home to you, you are allowed to leave quietly. you are allowed to outgrow something without turning your grief into cruelty toward the people who stayed. it's so unfair because it looks like the remaining members suddenly lost their worth because the picture changed.
