@Nithin0dha I want to buy it rightaway but surprisingly TorrentPower is not listed as a Electricity Vendor in Gujarat. Is there any other way I can do this and reap benefits @sundaygrids ?

Today, if you are interested in installing some solar panels but don't have the roof space necessary because you live in an apartment or a rented house, there's no solution. Despite the subsidies, only about 10% of urban households have rooftop solar. That means many people are conscious about being sustainable but can't do anything. @sundaygrids is taking an interesting approach to solve this problem. They setup solar power plants in other locations and allow people to reserve a part of the capacity in the plant. This generates credits, which can be used to reduce the power bill, even though the plant is in a different place. They are now live across India. Various governments are now coming up with regulations to encourage third-party solar models. I think this is a cool way to make solar accessible to the masses. @ahmedgaziyani @Nithin0dha Time value of money (₹1 today is better than ₹1 tomorrow). Drawing analogies across the same lines, for 1L, you get a monthly savings of ₹1250 on bill. If you translate that savings into a recurring deposit, this is how the math looks over time

@Nithin0dha This is nothing but financial leveraging in the name of solar energy. You pay the entire amount upfront and receive savings through the year. Any decent financial instrument will provide that.

@itspatelr @Nithin0dha C&l is the segment where we opt to deploy solar capacity, as tariff arbitrage and demand is considerably higher than residential rooftops. Projects are onboarded after they are installed & commissioned, and the plant ownership belongs with the solar operator.

@itspatelr @Nithin0dha ..for which the grid discounts on your power bill at a unit-level accounting. With Digital Community Solar, you get discounting at a 'net-billing' level, and unlike a grid architecture, where there is multiple active loads points, we streamline to a single-offtaker. (2/n)
