We started our April 2026 holiday program today with a hands-on technology class, where new grade 5 PALE girls learned computer basics including switching on and off, personalizing backgrounds, moving and resizing icons, and adjusting time, date and taskbar, growing confidence.

During Ruksana’s session 2 , learners realized challenges are universal & responses matter most. They urged teachers to avoid shouting & punishment, instead emulating her father’s supportive approach. A learner proposed a @girlrising video day for parents, highlighting empathy.

Today we completed Grade 5 recruitment literacy assessments for girls joining our PALE program. We assessed 93 girls in English - their second language across partner schools & placed them into five literacy levels based on need. The results reaffirm our mission to meet learners.

Ms. @stellapamba taught our PALE girls what menstruation truly is, explaining cycles, hormonal changes, normal flow, period signs, tracking, irregularities and when to seek help. The girls asked questions, shared openly and left more confident, safe spaces truly empower.
