let's talk about some things that need to be clarified after blood saga:
1. when kpop groups are about to go overseas, it's normal for them to say goodbye to korean fans for the time being and tell them to wait for them.
2. if they don't have public schedules in korea for a while, it's normal for them to say they don't know when they'll be together as a group with korean fans again.
3. none of these things reflect endings or uncertainty. they reflect their sincere desire to return to their fans in their home country.
4. it is extremely common for members to tear up during ending ments after the emotional high of a 3-day concert, especially someone whose mbti is f.
5. it's also extremely common for members to talk about the challenges they faced or their hard work leading up to the concert. it's gratifying for them to see it pay off.
6. it takes time for performers to feel polished and confident in starting a new tour. they need muscle memory of several shows and the feedback of the audience.
7. it's normal to guide the audience in the fan chant either pre-show or during an outfit change. it engages the crowd and makes it fun. they did it at wtl.
8. it's also normal for fanchants to sound not particularly clear in a live broadcast. the mics are there to pick up singers, not the audience.
9. it's not normal for a concert audience in seoul to be this loud, this energetic, and this excited. that was a genuine outlier that reflects a lot of enthusiasm.
10. it's common for staff or production crew to post about concerts when they're done on instagram.
11. the reality of being a performer involves singing while sick at times. we say "the show must go on" universally in every culture.
12. sometimes a note may sound imperfect while singing live. this does not mean the singer is not capable or that they're damaging their voice.
13. when members leave a kpop group, it takes time to rearrange the songs and master performing them in a new configuration. imperfection at the beginning is not the same as inadequacy.
14. when members leave a kpop group, it's standard practice for others to not mention them again. this isn't disrespect. the subject is too sensitive.
15. when members leave a kpop group, unless it was really early, they don't usually re-record songs. that member's voice will be in old songs and might still be present in backing vocals that became a part of the essential color of the song.
16. leading up to a concert, it's common for members to talk about it excitedly or build hype while engaging with fans.
17. sometimes the director of the company or other staff will attend the concert, whether we like them or not.
18. performers in every culture commonly put in a lot of late night hours of preparation during the last week before opening a big show.
19. it's pretty common for members to lose their voice after the last concert of a 3-day run because they went all out and were screaming a lot.
20. while it's inappropriate for fans to speculate if a performer received iv therapy based on a photo of their arm posted on social media, this is a common wellness trend in korea. it is nothing to be concerned about. this cultural difference is reflective of the gap of cultural understanding that international fans need to bridge carefully.
21. live subtitles on broadcasts sometimes lose nuance. it's best to look up translator accounts who have the time to be more accurate.
22. automated translations on weverse are almost always incorrect. don't rely on them.
23. idols may express the difficulty of their work in one sentence and how much it was worth it in another. always look up the context.
24. idols respond to commotion in the crowds. it's not possible to deploy a weapon like pepper spray that would affect many people and not have anyone notice it. this shouldn't need to be explained but here we are.
25. laughing about how you can't tell the difference between the name park jongseong and park jimin is racist. full stop.
