We all need to make a decision and either choose to lose less or lose more and therefore whether to win less or win more That decision should be based on your temperament Ie if you can’t psychologically deal with many losses then vc style bets is not for you If you can’t deal with large volatility then trading with stop loss may be more suited then long term spot If you are fine with volatility but careful/anxious making decisions you want to optimise for fewer decisions and longer term horizons Some people - many here end up in strategies copying what they see when it doesn’t match their temperament The way you know if a strategy is right for you is based not on when you win but are you happy with the way in which you lose There is mathematical criteria and concerns in risk management etc but a mismatch in strategy to temperament is what causes the mental breakdowns on timeline
