काश! कोई इतना बड़ा घर कभी बना पाती जहां संसार के सारे घर से निकाले हुए बुजुर्गों को रख पाती। रोते हुए बुजुर्गों से हैवी और कुछ महसूस नहीं होता।

यह सिर्फ़ एक मेडिकल मुद्दा नहीं है। यह लाखों माताओं के दर्द, डर और मजबूरी का सवाल है। यह उन नवजात बच्चों की ज़िंदगी का सवाल है, जो इस दुनिया में आते ही एक ऐसे सिस्टम के बीच फँस जाते हैं जहाँ इलाज से पहले कमाई देखी जाती है। डिफेंस हॉस्पिटल और सिविल हॉस्पिटल के बीच फर्क डॉक्टरों की योग्यता का नहीं, सिस्टम की नीयत का है। ARMY, NAVY, AIRFORCE के अस्पतालों में लगभग 90% बच्चे नॉर्मल डिलीवरी से जन्म लेते हैं, क्योंकि वहाँ डॉक्टर पर किसी टारगेट, कमीशन, पैकेज या सर्जरी कोटा का दबाव नहीं होता। वहाँ डॉक्टर सिर्फ़ एक बात सोचता है... मां सुरक्षित रहे, बच्चा स्वस्थ रहे। लेकिन सिविल सोसाइटी में तस्वीर उलटी है। कई जगह 60–70% तक डिलीवरी सिजेरियन से कराई जा रही है। सवाल है ... क्या सच में इतनी माताओं को ऑपरेशन की जरूरत होती है? या फिर जरूरत किसी और चीज़ की होती है ... हॉस्पिटल की कमाई की? जब एक नॉर्मल डिलीवरी से हॉस्पिटल को कम पैसा मिलता है , और सिजेरियन से ₹50,000 से ₹1,00,000 या उससे भी ज़्यादा, तो फिर इंसानियत और बिज़नेस के बीच की लड़ाई शुरू हो जाती है। और दुख की बात यह है कि इस लड़ाई में अक्सर हार मां की होती है। हर सिजेरियन गलत नहीं होता। कई बार यह मां और बच्चे की जान बचाने के लिए जरूरी होता है। लेकिन जो डिलीवरी सामान्य रूप से हो सकती है, उसे भी डर, जल्दबाज़ी, या कमाई के लिए ऑपरेशन में बदल देना सिर्फ़ अनैतिक नहीं, अमानवीय है। सबसे दर्दनाक बात यह है कि कई डॉक्टर भी इस खेल के हिस्सेदार कम, शिकार ज़्यादा होते हैं। उन पर हर महीने revenue target, OT filling, surgery quota और billing pressure डाला जाता है। यानी जिस पेशे का आधार सेवा होना चाहिए था, उसे धीरे-धीरे sales job बना दिया गया है। कोरोना लॉकडाउन ने इस सच की एक झलक भी दिखाई। जब लोग अस्पतालों तक नहीं पहुँच पा रहे थे, तब हजारों महिलाओं ने घर पर या न्यूनतम मेडिकल सहायता के साथ नॉर्मल डिलीवरी की। वही मांएँ, वही शरीर, वही प्रकृति .... लेकिन अस्पताल पहुँचते ही कई जगह पहला वाक्य होता है 👇 “ऑपरेशन करना पड़ेगा।” यही वह जगह है जहाँ सवाल उठते हैं। क्या हर बार ऑपरेशन सच में जरूरी था? या सिस्टम ने मातृत्व को भी कमाई का पैकेज बना दिया है? यह सिर्फ़ हेल्थकेयर की खामी नहीं है। यह एक ऐसी संगठित व्यवस्था का चेहरा है जहाँ मरीज सबसे कमजोर कड़ी है। एक गर्भवती महिला, जो पहले ही डर, दर्द और चिंता में होती है, उससे कहा जाता है कि “बच्चे की जान का सवाल है” ... और उस हालत में वह बहस नहीं कर सकती, बस हामी भर देती है। यही इस सिस्टम की सबसे बड़ी क्रूरता है।

I left for bombay at 6.30 am like the hard working professional that I am & stopped the car at 7 am to make this reel as I’ve long realised that silence is not a virtue & one must speak up when they are disrespected. Yes if wrong things happen at any workplace that are against basic human rights, me & all of us should speak up. I don’t care about the personal trolling, I’m used to it last 5 years since shark tank but the purpose of this reel is to request all the proud Indians in this country to start speaking up when they see something wrong, out of humanity, out of patriotism.
