People need to calm down about the Canadian teams splitting. It's normal after an Olympic quad, and Oakville seems to have had a huge change happen with its pairs program. There will be new partnerships and coaches and everything will be running again come August.

@sunmustset2rise @naumovogm Well, they don’t only work with top skaters, so they have work from lower level skaters starting as early as Nov (when NQS ends in the US) through the summer. Skaters will sometimes bring back choreographers to tweak programs in the fall. So they’re busy most of the year.

@WestphalErin @naumovogm This is going to be a dumb question but what do famous choreographers do the rest of the year? I know some coach as well but I don’t think all of them do?

@naumovogm It really only takes a week to get a program choreo’d, especially when you’re paying for their time. Many of the skaters whose season ended before Milan are likely ready to get it done, esp the dancers who are waiting for final rules on the RD.

@violetsvirtue He honestly should be allowed to compete in women’s for one competition just so he can be the first skater to skate in all 4 disciplines because he’s 3/4 of the way there
