So, thankfully, it doesn’t seem to be an ectopic pregnancy. But it is a miscarriage. And so now the wait begins for my body to realise what my heart already knows.

Everyday, sometimes every hour, I pray for an end to the cruel massacre of people wherever such odious actions are taking place in the world. The massacres pain me immensely, making me wonder how some have mastered the art of looking the other way in the face of egregious human inflicted human suffering #JustAThought

#LOLA A mere 1.something KG when she came home the first time and I held her in my arms. A mere 1.something KG when I brought her home for her final ride. Nothing prepared me for collecting my 39kg Lola's tiny ashes. Nothing. But I was given courage by many of you here. I'm grateful for the love you showed Lola. The bestest and goodest girl. I'm not sure when my heart will wake up again.

@HellaTamaryn Many, many years ago (although not so many years that I'm not still traumatised) a parktown prawn found its way onto a hand towel I used to dry my face in the morning. It crawled out, onto my face, while I was drying.... and people wonder why I turned out the way I did.

This afternoon, thousands of men across the country will be strutting their stuff in nothing but their purple speedos, all to raise awareness and take a stand against cancer. I've lost loved ones to this ruthless disease. I have friends fighting for their lives right now. And honestly, showing a little skin is the least I can do to join the cause. Also, we all know how much I love a budgie-smuggler. Jokes aside, today is a reminder of how powerful community can be – whether it’s the courage to run around in a speedo or the courage to keep pushing through the toughest battles. All those years I followed the case closely. Heartbroken for her dad. Thank you to everyone who fought for justice and to you for telling her story.
