Today's Pantry Finds! We got some new items in this week at our Stark Street location, including Larabars, ice cream, yogurt, meat sticks, frozen dinners, tangerines, and pork shoulder!

Every Friday, Sunshine Division brings about 60 food bags to Community Transitional School in Northeast Portland to help ensure students have enough to eat over the weekend. It never gets old seeing students light up as they carry their food bags onto the bus ride home.

Sunshine Division is getting closer to opening our new shopping-style Free Food Market near the heart of Portland! We are SO excited to open our doors and welcome neighbors who needs food assistance to pick out groceries that best fit their needs in a warm, welcoming space.

Reminder! We will be closed in the morning tomorrow (May 5, 2026) for an all-staff training. Our food pantry will be back open from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. If you need food assistance, you can schedule your next visit at sunshinedivision.org/appointments

This week, nearly 550 households experiencing food insecurity will receive groceries through our home-delivery program. Each box is packed with pantry staples like rice, beans, oats, spaghetti, tuna, mac and cheese, and canned vegetables.

This week, we finished clearing out our Thompson Street warehouse as we prepare to move into our new headquarters on NW Front Avenue. We are grateful for the volunteers who gave their time here and for the tens of thousands of neighbors we were able to serve within these walls.

And so, it begins. This morning, we delivered food boxes from our new headquarters near downtown Portland for the very first time. Because of your support, 466 households have groceries today to get them through the week.

Show your love through the end of February at your local Safeway or Albertsons! Simply donate at the register to help Sunshine Division provide food for a family facing hunger in our community. Thank you Safeway Albertsons for supporting our mission all month long!

Our Stark Street Food Pantry will be closed on Tuesday, February 17, in observance of Presidents Day, giving our pantry team a well-deserved day off. We will resume normal pantry hours Wednesday through Saturday. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
