@sunu_io What is the best way to contact you? I tried all the methods available on your site (including calling you at your phone number) and nobody answered... I bought the sunu band and I didn't receive it.

Whenever anyone asks why Twitter doesn't have an accessibility feature, or why something is inaccessible, my mind immediately goes to the old "it's harder to add accessibility late than to consider it from the start of the process." We're getting there, there's just a lot to do!

The White Cane does an excellent job at detecting floor-level obstacles and raising awareness to pedestrians around us, but what about the upper body? Or how can we extend perception beyond the cane’s reach? All this is solved with the Sunu Band. Are you ready to try it out? 😉

@sunu_io For me it was my hearing more than anything: The face covering was always blocking frontal hearing: I would refuse to where it on the street because of this.

As a person living with blindness having to cover up half of the face during the pandemic was quite difficult at the beginning, cutting off on one of the most useful senses, smell. The smell is one sense that helps recognize spaces, people, and even objects.

Teaching myself how to use the rest of my body to be more aware of my surroundings. When it came to talking with people, I found that using the Sunu Band to know where this person was standing or how far away from me they were, became one of my most useful tools.

Having to stay away from people is quite hard when you have no idea of how far or in what direction this person may be. A life hack that I found for these situations was paying so much more attention to my hearing senses, more than what I already did.
