According to the report, Messi's great-great-grandfather moved from Italy to Brazil in 1899 before the family later moved to Rosario, Argentina. While living in Brazil, the family's surname and some first names were changed.
The report says there are no records of Messi's family staying in Brazil after they moved to Argentina.
