[TW] I don’t ever really talk about this type of stuff but something I’ve never really put in context, my dad died in Oct 2012 I went viral on vine in jan of 2013 and had a million followers within a month.. the amount of times I struggled while on tour or trying to create music was genuinely one of the hardest times of my life, I had felt completely lost on a daily basis while also trying to comprehend people actually liked me and my art, at one point after about a year of really good times, people accused me of stealing music when I simply used presets and samples that’s a totally common practice in 2023 and was put through mental hell thru an edm scene.. my last show was a sold out show in Texas and I decided to take time off, after losing my vine account with over 1.5 mil and both my SoundClouds with over 700k followers I almost ended my life. I had no one, I bought a puppy in hopes it would save my relationship and instead we separated, at that point it was either end it or make a massive change. Fast forward 6 years of sobriety and going to the gym and re learning everything about djing. I made a TikTok account to simply post music because I was missing it, the next day that first post went viral and a month later I had a million followers on TikTok and I tbh have no idea how it happened. I look at it like the universe decided to give me a second chance and I ran with it and put every single bit of my energy into it. I keep my account here because it’s like a journal of my journey. There’s been ALOT of downs, but when it’s up, it’s literal ecstasy, there’s a lot of sub context to this story and maybe one day I’ll divulge but the main thing I like to remind myself is to attempt to be as kind as possible and be grateful for your opportunities and accept them with grace and respect the energy given to you. Music has saved my life more than I can count now. I doubt there’s a lot of people that have been here since then but If you have it means you truly do accept me and have been a part of this with me. Thank you and I truly mean this with my entire heart, thank you for making me feel like a part of something and that I belong in this world because I can’t explain nor repay how much that means to me. 🌹
