@AsafKlaf @EFIC_org I'm interested to hear more on your second point, if you'd like elaborate. Agree we must ensure that fMRI methods continue to improve, but argue we should not dismiss all studies with N<20 - many have taught us important lessons - def. not throw out an existing dataset.

@supergrrl007 @EFIC_org There are very good reasons why such sample sizes are unacceptable anymore. So, I think this study is uninterpretable also because some of the core premises are highly problematic.

@AsafKlaf @EFIC_org You're right - the data were collected a few years back but circumstances delayed us from writing up. Hopefully, you agree there are strengths to the study, which justify disseminating, in hope these limited data stimulate further investigation with a larger sample.

Crazy that the UKRI new "funding service", the ONLY contact for grant application queries, admits they cannot meet their 2-day turnaround target time due to email backlog. Been a week! In any case, seems they are just abt the tech & forward substansive questions to the councils.

Those who voted "knew"/learned friends, do you know what the new word limit for refs implies for proposals? Previously the List of Publication attachmnet was unlimited. The new 250 word limit fits ~15 refs. Does the lit review counts for less now? @TrikBek @PattiAdank @jonroiser

Anyone else hit by UKRI move to the new Funding Service? I had an @esrc grant on je-s ready to submit but this week discovered that je-s is gone & the new responsive mode grants format/requirements entirely different. Gutting. @CambPsych @DenesSzucs

@TrikBek @PattiAdank @jonroiser Sadly not, it caught us all by surprise. I think the research office knew about BBSRC but not ESRC research grants. We all only realised the system changed last week and we are in the dark about this specific point... Makes it seem like a dif beast altogether.
