Asking ChatGPT to give you a portrait of yourself wearing a different pair of glasses so you can try them on virutally produces a really strange, uncanny valley kind of experience. The person sort of mostly looks like you, but the somehow sycophantic nature of ChatGPT means that the image is not quite you, but it's very flattering. It's you after a lot of time at the gym and some Korean skin care.

@MKjrstad Naw, decentralization IS my goal. You can still meet all of the above goals with a few privileged operators. I dream of a robust decentralized worldwide network of operators.
English

@superphiz Decentralization is not the goal, but the tool we need to ensure CROPS👇
✅ Censorship resistant
✅ Resilient
✅ Open
✅ Private
✅ Secure

@scupytrooples I really feel like ai has the potential to change that.
English

yea the early dapp dream was for dapps to replace apps at just about every level but due to the technology not being scalable at the time, the world not welcoming decentralization at all, and early teams not delivering despite huge warchests, that dream kind of fade. outside of DeFi there hasnt been much pmf and even that is starting to get cannibalized by tradfi.
I wish it were 100x easier to build dapps, it is really tough!
English

@scupytrooples I guess when I read vitalik's description of the platform before release I imagined that smart contracts would be everywhere doing everything. That people could casually deploy their own. The reality is that they're still complex and gated.
English

@scupytrooples I do agree in principle, but that hasn't really shown up in reality. Smart contract implementation is woefully lagging.
English

@superphiz when the asset does better it breathes life into the contract side. suddenly people have a few hundred (or much more) dollars of extra money to play around and experiment with new things, accelerating the pmf discovery process

.@Rocket_Pool's $rETH is available on @monad!
Check it out 👇
Rocket Pool@Rocket_Pool
Ethereum's decentralised liquid staking token is now available on @Monad! Bridging your $rETH to Monad still earns the same staking rewards, but unlocks DeFi opportunities like a boosted @Balancer pool, check it out at the link below 👇

@owocki @austingriffith Yesssss! Thanks so much! I can't wait to watch it five times!

.@owocki @austingriffith
Have you guys done a podcast/chat about where you see smart contract technology integrating with ai yet? If you haven't done it, do it May 14 @ 1PM Denver time. K thx.

@Cointelegraph @DefiLlama after seeing this I realized bitcoin sidechain/L2 TVL counts towards bitcoin. Why is that the case for bitcoin but not for Ethereum? Doesn't it make sense to separate it out for bitcoin too?

Staking 101: @Rocket_Pool provides more home stakers to the defense of Ethereum credibility and hardness than any other protocol in Ethereum history.
Just use rETH.

English

@Titan_Node We're discussing a case where the majority of ether is staked. In that case people wouldn't hold and use Eth, they'd hold and use a LST.
English

@superphiz Do people actually use a LSD as a replacement for ETH?
I personally haven’t met much people who do, but I guess it’s possible.
English

@OisinKyne I'll be honest that I was overwhelmed with other things during that time and didn't follow it closely.
English

@superphiz Did you call for burning the censors on gnosis chain when they froze the balancer hacker? Do you think you’d have acted differently if the same happened on mainnet?
English

@OisinKyne Yes, even in that case, because if they were nefarious we could burn their stake and move on without them. If the majority of eth are staked, no one is going to accept a burn against a nefarious party. #i_sound_like_micah
English

@superphiz Even if that cap meant that >51% of stake was run by like 2/3 companies? (And thus they get to chose what gets on chain)
English

@Titan_Node If most eth are staked, then the transactional currency becomes the LSD coin rather than ETH itself. Then the LSD is the governing token rather than ether and whoever the LSD issuer is has deep control over the network. Danny Ryan wrote a banger article about it a few years ago.
English

@superphiz How does capping staking increase odds ETH as a settlement coin? I don’t see the correlation
