I think what's worse about the PS5 going up in price is that there is a good chance this could be happening to ALL of the consoles, and not just PlayStation. I'd say, if you are on the fence about getting a PS5, Switch 2, or an Xbox, you should probably get them now, because they aren't going to get cheaper anytime soon...
