An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect from 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday through 8:00 p.m. on Sunday for Joshua Tree National Park. During this time, afternoon high temperatures may range from 103 to 108 degrees. 🥵 Heat-related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. The VITA/Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) program provides free services to eligible individuals and families whose combined household earned income was less than $69,000 in 2025. If you worked in 2025, you may be eligible to receive the: ✅ California Earned Income Tax Credit, for a refund of up to $3,756. ✅ Federal Earned Income Tax Credit, for a refund of up to $8,046. San Bernardino County youth can apply for the SPARK Youth Employment Program beginning March 16 at 6 p.m. The program offers paid work experience for county residents ages 16 to 24, along with hands-on learning, mentorship and career exploration opportunities designed to help youth and young adults gain practical skills and prepare for future employment. 🤝 Participants will have access to professional development trainings and gain real-world experience in county departments with job placements beginning in June. Positions are limited, and only the first 800 applications will be accepted.
