最も驚いたのは、インド唯一ではないかと思われるマンガ専門店「The Comic Book Store」。日本の漫画家・赤松健が訪れるということでレッド・カーペットが敷かれ、カメラ数台が待ち受けていました。 ここには高い実力を持つインドのクリエイター達もいて、「今後インド国内でマンガ産業を成立させるにはどうしたらいいか」などの具体的な会談も行いました。ツールは（クリスタもありますが）プロクリエイトやフォトショップが多い模様。 とにかく日本は国民がみんなマンガを読むもので、内需産業として完全に成立しているのですが、インドでもまず内需として固めてから海外を狙うようにしないと、中身スカスカの産業になってしまうと思います。そのためには若いクリエイターがインド国内で人気になるのが一番。先方から具体的なプロジェクトの提案も受けたので、日本に持ち帰って検討します。 20時半からは、JETRO主催のネットワーキングディナー。WAVESでマンガ系シンポジウムを行った日本の著名人たちもいて、名刺を一気に消費。まさにインドでの映画・アニメ・ゲームの企業体をどうしていくかの話で盛り上がりました。 インドは「遅々として進む」という変な国で、基本は好意的に物事が進むのですが、とにかく手続きが面倒でしかも超遅いようです。これは現地に来た日本人誰もが言っています。ここはモディ首相にイニシアチブをとってもらうしかないと私は考えています。「アニメやゲーミング産業に力を入れる！」と断言されていたわけですから。それを話す機会をいつか得たいものです。

【インド１日目：WAVES2025とマンガ専門店】4月30日のうちに羽田空港からデリー経由でムンバイへ。大体9時間くらいでしょうか。デリーがインド政治の中心とすると、ムンバイはまさにインド経済の中心地です。とにかく至る所に今回の「WAVES2025」の看板やポスターが無数に貼ってあり、インド側の意気込みを感じます。 5月1日の朝10時頃から「WAVES2025」の開幕式イベント。最近テロ事件があったため警戒は厳重でしたが、音楽やダンスや特殊効果でとにかく賑やか！さすがはインドです。 そして、これは事前レクチャーで知っていたのですが、とにかくゲストの演説が多くて長いです。モディ首相の演説だけでも軽く40分はしゃべっています。これも日本では考えられない。しかし内容は素晴らしいことをおっしゃっており、「インドのコンテンツ産業はその規模を増加させる！アニメ市場も倍増！色々なクリエイター達がインドに新しい波を生み出している！」といった具合で、私もグイグイ引き込まれました。 ・・・そう、今回のWAVES2025は、モディ首相の肝いりで開催される「コンテンツ＆クリエイター系のイベント」なのです。「大臣政務官にしてクリエイター」である赤松が日本代表として派遣されたのも、そういった理由が当然あるでしょう。 今回集まった各国の要人たちとモディ首相との集合写真を撮った後、私はWAVESの各パビリオンを視察。特にクランチロールやSONYやJETROなど、コンテンツ系を中心に見て回りました。 さて、ここで一旦会場を離れ、前述した（２）インドにおける日本の漫画・アニメ・ゲームの存在感を調査するため、街のショッピングモールへ。まず「Jio World Drive」というメジャーな商業施設で、インドの日常における本屋や玩具店を視察。また「Game Baba」というインドでは珍しいマニア向けのゲームショップも訪問。コンシューマー向けのゲーム機はまださっぱり普及していませんが、スマホの普及率は高いので、伸びしろがあるにしても方向性を考える必要はありそうです。

1. I’m planning on launching more artworks towards the end of this year. Physical signed numbered art pieces will be given out to genesis nft holders. And early heads up . 2. I use mid journey to come up with new ideas and techniques, what ever ideas I have I write it down as prompts and generate images which I then sit down and reverse engineer and paint them from scratch.

1. I think it’s a mix of various things , constant community building through art , brand collaborations and social media . But the core lies in experimenting and taking in every opportunity you get . Also not limiting oneself to one medium . 2. Whatever I made I used to buy more nfts by my friends

Portrait #1 from portraits of childhood traumas series - Lord Goku. Goku the protagonist from Dragon Ball anime is probably the first character I ever drew as a child. Even before I got introduced to the anime , I was drawn towards the the world of Dragon ball z by counterfeit pencil boxes which had characters from the anime printed on them. I spent major part of my childhood trying to figure out what is this unique visual style and, of course, why does his hair changes to golden yellow every time. I kept all my boxes safe and they were close to my heart, but most of them got stolen or broken. My first experience of getting robbed .#dragonball #goku #dragonballz #art #painting #portrait
