Exactly. This also completely nullifies any meaning behind Eitenne’s $24 million guarantee.
And at the absolute best it’s an 80/20 split in Etiennes favor since guaranteed money is the only rational way to predict usage.
Etienne is a complete fade. Simple math.
@GlickFF@ryKeough@notJDaigle " WR2 money" does not the equal WR2 security or a guarantee of targets. The Ravens have taken 3 WRs in the last two years as contingency. Yes, he's essentially free but Walker is a much better spike pick. Bateman's a better real-world WR than fantasy one.
All I know is Bateman is making great WR2 money and they will be invested in him for at least one more year. We will see the most 3WR sets from this offense than we have since Lamar has been there I think multiple WRs can now benefit in this offense. It also helps Bateman is actually a good WR.
Have seen endless hype for Zay Flowers, but no one has mentioned the most obvious reason for more volume (outside of Lamar inevitably bouncing back from his seven-year low in points per game):
Baltimore averaged 24.8 pass attempts in 2025, the second-fewest of the last decade.
I was already lower on Travis Etienne than consensus before the Alvin Kamara news today but that seals it.
Kamara will eat into Etienne's passing game/RZ work.
The NOLA backfield could easily be a mess this year so just continue to invest in their passing game for fantasy.
@FFStalder@MySportsUpdate@T_Armstead72@nick_underhill Massive feels like an overstatement. Perceived sure with Kamara's name value. But I don't see your point unless this is like a 60/40 split. Etienne's massive RB contract would say otherwise.
@MySportsUpdate@T_Armstead72@nick_underhill This is a massive hit to Etienne’s fantasy value. Much of the market baked in the likelihood Kamara moves on. AK wanted to stay in NO, and he will.
Just in: The #Saints and RB Alvin Kamara have agreed to a restructured contract to keep him in New Orleans, per @T_Armstead72 and @nick_underhill.
There had been significant speculation that Kamara could be the odd man out because of his high salary and the team's signing of Travis Etienne, but he'll remain in New Orleans.
@GlickFF It's about opportunity cost. If you think Kittle is still George Kittle then sure it's a discount. But consider Goeddert Kincaid, Andrews and Ferguson are all heavily discounted relative to past years, are younger, and arent coming back from a major injury. QB at 115-120 > 150
One thing I continue to struggle with in best ball:
Nabers is being drafted around ADP 38 despite carrying legitimate uncertainty about his availability early in the season.
Kittle, meanwhile, is going around ADP 113, even though the recent reporting surrounding his recovery has been overwhelmingly positive and points toward a realistic chance of being available for Week 1.
Even if Kittle were to miss the first four games, he’d still have 13 regular season games plus the fantasy playoff weeks to provide value.
At that price, you’re drafting one of the few tight ends with true week winning upside. Kittle has repeatedly shown he can produce at an elite per route and per target level, and his spike week potential is exactly what you’re chasing in tournament formats.
It feels like the market is heavily discounting Kittle’s uncertainty while being much more willing to overlook similar uncertainty elsewhere.
@GlickFF No idiot. I know you suck, but I literally was just agreeing with you. Or I guess you agree with the people complaining. Not even sure at this point. You definitely seem like a moron tho.
my grandmother raised me, was like my mom and my dad. my parents worked multiple jobs as immigrants so my gma was everything to me.
would mean everything if you sent some prayers as she’s in the hospital now about to have a biopsy to determine how serious her situation is.
never take for granted family members and those you love around you. life is precious.
Some will say, “I don’t like Brian Thomas Jr. this year because he’ll be the sacrificial X,” yet the same person will draft guys like MHJ and Pierce, DK etc.
If you’re using “sacrificial X” as your reason to fade BTJ, be consistent. Otherwise you’re just picking and choosing when the narrative fits your priors.
