12 months ago I caught #Covid I went onto develop pneumonia & pleurisy. For the last 12 months I've had #longcovid breathlessness, tremors, chest pain, exhaustion & no real sense of taste or smell. I have to keep going & hopefully improve. Please, be safe & keep others safe too.

@susankmann My 17yo is also doing the applications although he's chosen Wildlife and environment management, so he can go locally. I've told my 25yo I'm staying up till midnight to catch the last few hours with a child! After 32 years it's just insane they're all so old! 😃

Indeed I will not ever forget it. Meningitis is cruel. I had to explain to the kids that 'yes, he had a headache last night, you've been to school and now he's in hospital very, very ill'. We are the lucky ones. His memory and health aren't what they were, but he's here.

@TheBrickCastle They’re good, although I didn’t think it through, now I have three teenagers. 🙈 Ty has his exams as he’s in sixth year, so it’s apprenticeship interviews & uni applying just now for him. Not so little Miss A, is second year & doing so well at football. Lucas is his unique self x

@susankmann We are all fine, really we are. Exams on the horizon and a 16th birthday this weekend, plus a very late Christmas with ALL the kids coming up in 2 weeks time. I have a lot to smile about. Glad you are coping better, but it still stinks. So much research happening now though xx

The update I was hoping to not have to do. The biopsy results are in. There is cancer. I'll be going to St James for radiation treatment today and then back to Tullamore once it's finished. I'll never go into remission, but they are confident they can manage it for a long time.

I was in the library today with my 2 year old granddaughter. We were reading (3 x) a fab picture book called The Library Book, when I noticed a girl taking the books she'd chosen to the desk. Euro Spies was in her pile! I felt as chuffed as if I'd just won the lottery.
