@lesronance yes, cleric’s are chosen by a deity/god to act on their behalf and use divine magic, so there’s lots of religious guilt potential, but in d&d since the gods are known beings (as in, nobody can debate their existence) any belief, guilt or doubt is more about goals/morals/etc !

are clerics connected to the church and religion? english isn’t my first language so i’m having a bit of a hard time understanding their role especially when it’s applied to will but if that’s the case then let’s wake up cleradin religious guilt

@brutelouthere i especially hate the “if somebody else was in the void with her, they’d have talked her out of it”, acting like hopper didn’t also try to stop/help her the same day, giving her a whole speech about how loved she is and insisting she has—and deserved—a future

can we please stop using el's death as "proof" of anything in ship wars? like, let's step outside of the realm of fiction for a second... "if she really loved him she wouldn't have done it" — why are we implying that people who take their own lives simply must not love their partners enough, bc if they did they wouldn't kill themselves? "if someone else had been in the void with her, they'd have managed to talk her out of it" — why are we spreading the rethoric that if someone kills themselves, it's because their loved ones didn't try hard enough to keep them alive & therefore they should be held responsible for it? that if they loved/knew their partner in the 'right' way, they wouldn't have gone through with it? you can engage in ship wars all you want, but pls take a step back every once in a while & consider what narratives you might be reinforcing with the arguments you're picking... bc some things have a real impact beyond the scope of fiction
