Jim and I went for a hike the other day to Sandy Lake Loop in Bedford. We came to a beach at the end with a building for changing and a life guard stand. I've lived in Sackville all my life but I didn't know that beach was there. Have you ever been? #sandylake #nslife #hikes

We did a walk Sunday to Point Pleasant Park. I haven’t been there in so many years. It was absolutely beautiful. It was a clear sunny day and The views of the Northwest Arm was gorgeous. If your looking for a great walk (it was about 3km) I highly recommend it.

Did you know that The Noel Plaster Company produced gypsum at Noel Lake, East Hants, from 1906-14. During our Four Wheeling trip on the weekend we had our lunch at the old site of the gypsum quarry. Such a pretty area. Have you been?

East River (Meisner's) Beach is near the top of the Apoptogen Loop. The sun sets beautifully on this beach. My husband and I went to it a few days ago. Have you been?

Woke up to the sun-shining and the trees beautiful. The only benefit to an ice storm is the beauty.

During the summer I seem to go to different beaches but during the winter I tend to go to the same beaches every time. Seawall Beach, Queensland, Lawerencetown Beach and Martinique. A couple Sunday’s was no exception. Queensland.

Did you know we have a castle in Southshore Nova Scotia? For 2 years I had heard about this castle but had no idea where to find it. A few years ago my husband and I set out one day to find it and I had success. It was the winter months and it had a little bit of snow on it.

This weekend we drove down to Rissers Beach. It was absolutely beautiful. There were huge ice chunks on the beach which was neat. We walked back on the board walk. Even though it was very chilly and a bit slippery in areas it was a great walk.

Although Chester is absolutely beautiful I haven't made a lot of time to travel and see the sites in Chester. I had some time before hockey on Sunday so I decided to see some of the beauty witin Chester. Here are a few of the pictures

While I was at Fisherman's Cove we walked some of the Boardwalk in Eastern Passage with a view of McCormicks's Beach. Highly recommend walking the Eastern Passage Boardwalk. It wasn’t sunny but it sure was pretty.

With Christmas coming I like going to stores to see what items I can find. Yesterday I went to Fisherman's Cove. Such great stores with some original items. Lots of Nova Scotia made items. A great way to support local vendors. The different colors make it great to look at.

What a great time we had at the Acadia Christmas Craft Fair Friday night. Always my favorite. They have such unique vendors. Wolfville is so beautiful and such a neat town.

Stop 3 in Chasing the Sunset on Remembrance Day. What I found was one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever saw. East River Beach (Meisner's Beach) was absolutely gorgeous. The sun was literally setting on the other side of the beach over the water.

Stop 2 of Chasing the Sunset on Remembrance Day was Blandford at the Blandford viewing area. It was also absolutely gorgeous but this time it was setting over the water with no beach.
