@profgalloway And ironically while people put themselves in the poorhouse for higher ed, they are loathe to increase the tax base for better K-12 and paying those educators what they are worth.

The problem with student loan forgiveness is that college is as expensive as it is in the first place — we/universities think of ourselves not as public servants but as luxury goods
