P’s #cancer results are in. She’s stable. I’m going to stop tweeting about cancer for a while. She’s doing well. It’s been a wild ride and at times I’ve needed your support - so thank you - but now we’re going to concentrate on living our lives like normal. Normal is awesome

The Morrison govt is a big user of labour hire, & they do it knowing:
a) it’s costs more that employing public servants
b) services suffer due to high turnover of casuals
c) it’s worse for workers.
So why do they do it? Could it be donations🤫

I haven’t cried since my daughter’s diagnosis but came close today, when a spectator at the @LondonMarathon shouted ‘Dan, you’re running for P!’

Starting from October, I'll be based in Sydney working for @OCCRP in building a grassroots investigative journalism network in the Pacific Islands region. We will be training, supporting local orgs, and working together with local and intl media on big investigations

Your first day on a kids’ cancer ward is confronting; sick children, many with no hair or tubes into their noses, your own worry, ‘Is this also our future?’
Now I just see fortitude; smiles, kids enduring their treatment, one mother repeating the words ‘We will get you better.’
