The report highlights Luxembourgish as the language children naturally use together. Perhaps that's the strongest foundation we have for integration. 🗣️🤷🏻‍♂️ #EducationPolicy #ProjectAlpha #LUCET

The LUCET evaluation is finally public and it raises serious questions. If a reform delivers no clear improvement in literacy, we need an honest discussion about its future, not political spin. 🧐 #EducationPolicy #ProjectAlpha #LUCET

Europe has a payment sovereignty problem. Wero already solves it: built by European banks, live today, no state database. Instead, Parliament voted 416-169 for a digital euro with holding caps written into the law. Money that can be capped can be frozen. Caps today, conditions tomorrow. Not with me.

@akihv Real human here. Sadly the algorithm is nicer to that style of writing (even by a human) so I use AI to edit for impact not to write slop. I know, difficult to distinguish

The European Parliament voted AGAINST Chat Control. 314 to 276. And it passed anyway. Let me tell you how: they needed 361 votes to say no. On the last day before vacation. Every empty seat counted as a yes. They lost the vote. They won the law. That’s not democracy. That’s a trick. #ChatControl

Legal obligations should never be blocked by hidden technical limits. If businesses and ASBLs pay for every filing, they deserve a transparent and reliable system. #LBR #ASBL #PublicAdministration

@grigory_sl CC1.0 had lapsed so reintroducing it changes sth. If we can’t even agree on the facts on the calendar I’m asking myself who’s astroturfing ;)

@svnee Assuming you are correct, are you going to reply to the rest of my points? I’m having a hard time following the informative value of your clearly astroturfed post.

@AlainBG76 As a national MP I only have 6 « colleagues » in the EP and I’m devastated by some of their behaviour today!

@Roborant iMessage is partially affected by on-device list-based scanning. Which is absolute horseshit as it protects nobody

@svnee iMessage not affected. WhatsApp not affected. Signal. Always use end-to-end encrypted devices/apps.

@OlivierinChrist I know that. But to prove it someone needs to sue the provider who scanned his message and then hope our legal system hands that case to the CJEU which can then rule on legality. Long. Arduous. Expensive.

@grigory_sl Chat Control 1.0 had already been rejected by Parliament earlier. So this doesn’t « extend » but « reintroduces ». They played tricks with procedure to achieve something despite only having a minority backing.

This was a proposal to reject extension of chat control 1.0 which was already in place since 2021, it needed an absolute majority to be rejected, it didn’t get an absolute majority. So it gets extended as an interim measure. End to end encrypted chats are exempt and companies are not obligated to follow this (they can voluntarily scan non encrypted messages for CSAM), its CC1.0 not CSAR (CC2.0) which is still stuck. This does not mandate anything and does not allow governments direct access to your messages. So nothing changes for anyone because CC1.0 was already in place. Would be helpful if you added all of this context but then your post wouldn’t get as much traction, I get it.

@64bitmodeling @SuttonHearsAHoo English is my fourth language so yes I use AI for editing. Helps to make complex things more digestible. Easier to read than long-winding thoughts

@SuttonHearsAHoo @svnee I almost followed my AI tweet = instablock policy, but wasn't sure of OP's native language. I make allowances for translation, since I'd do the same.

@jakingly To be precise they asked the question: « Do you reject Chat Control? » and to win that vote you need an absolute majority of ALL MEPs present or not. A trick to win despite not having a majority.
