TGIF #chestrad case(s) of the week. Find the pneumonia on 4 different patients. Findings were much less conspicuous (or not at all seen) on the PA views (not shown). Answer on Monday. Have a great weekend!

Abnormal lung can result in increased vascular resistance. So ddx is thrombus or slow flow/delayed perfusion. Latter was suspected so study was repeated with a delay. See pic - defect filled in. No PE, but rather slow flow. Have a great week! Be kind! ❤️

Back from #STR which has motivated me to post cases again! Chest pain, r/o PE CTA. Is there a ddx for the filling defect in the lingular artery? Hint - Not showing lung windows but there is bronchiectasis and scarring in that region. Answer on Monday.

Food always on my mind, although I could do without the first case 🤢 1. Mosaic pattern w/ GGO, normal lung, & hyperlucency (also consolidation in this case) = head cheese sign from HP. 2. Opacity in infrahilar window = donut sign due to subcarinal LAD (see 10/3/21 post)

#chestrad #radres case of the week. 25M who increased cigarette smoking dramatically over the past 2 weeks, presented with cough and fever, eventually respiratory failure. BAL with %50 eosinophils. Melted away with steroids. Acute eosinophilia pneumonia. Have a great weekend!

Kaposi sarcoma - Irregular peribronchovascular thickening and consolidation, some of which some might call flame shaped (I have zero imagination so have always had a hard time seeing the flame). Attached is a companion case (also KS). Have a great week everyone!
