Even two days after Hurricane Helene passed, the impacts are still being felt as trees continue to fall in our community. Today, GRU crews were working onsite when a tree came down, breaking two poles and taking out the power lines. Our team is working hard to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. @GRUStormCentral My entire apartment complex is listed as 1 customer, does this mean that we will be ignored until all other outages are resolved? We have been without power since 10pm 9/26. Will we be credited for spoiled groceries?

We have restored power to thousands of customers since Hurricane Helene impacted Gainesville last evening and will continue to work into the evening and as long as it takes to safely restore power to all customers. Currently, about 21,000 remain without power. Although we are still assessing damage, the broken pole count currently stands at 33. To assist with restoration efforts, we are receiving mutual aid from @OUCreliableone, @KUAdirect, @lpandl, Lake Worth Beach Utilities and Leesburg Utilities. We are also receiving assistance from Asplundh and Davey tree crews. With wind gusts reaching 60 mph, Hurricane Helene caused extensive damage throughout our entire service area, and it could take days to restore power to all customers. We appreciate your patience as we continue our efforts. #HurricaneHelene

@limnosarah Pelican makes a tiny case, the 1050. Big enough for phone + keys. It floats, has a lanyard, and is bright yellow so easy to find if it ends up in the water.
