@Etanarachel even as a steroetypical pampered indian male, who was raised having to do almost no housework, it is weird to read about men not cleaning dishes or (especially) doing laundry. not having a job on top of that is astonishing work honestly.

I mean I feel like these men also aren’t picking up slack on the side of relationships typically delegated to women- they aren’t cleaning and cooking for you, they aren’t functioning as an emotional anchor…

Stuff like this really is why feminism can't work as a lived set of principles, women will never give up the idea that men should be the patriarch who provides, protects, is competent and has high social status and wealth no matter how "equal" society says the sexes are.

@RedRaiderGator Offside as detectable by the human eye and as detectable by VAR are functionally two different rules even if nothing's changed on paper. It is reasonable for people to feel that the rule should be adjusted post-VAR in order to preserve the spirit of the rule.

A defenders hand being on the line of scrimmage shouldn't be offsides. An offensive linemen twitching his thigh shouldn't be a false start. A player with his toe on the line should be a 3. A baseball being half an inch in foul territory should be fair. See? It's dumb.

The idea that this is “offsides” is absolute garbage. It’s stuff like this that makes soccer so difficult to care about beyond international competitions. It simply kills the enjoyment of the sport.
