Why do they sit like nodding dogs, compliant with the #TRA?
The system is upheld by those in the teaching profession who are complicit.

@pepe_hart It would be useful to look into the backgrounds and track records of some of the people who sit on the TRA from their own schools. I know of one lay person ( head) whose own conduct is unacceptable They need to be held accountable. This is long overdue .

Great to see today's @guardian piece on undergraduate tutors. This is a win/win/win scheme, improving literacy for poorer pupils, enabling undergrads to learn new skills, & finding new teachers. We'll be sharing lessons with all universities to develop regional/national scheme.

Mourning the sad loss of my father aged 60 today after a lifetime of drink. Grateful that he introduced me to football (including our beloved Wycombe), writers like Orwell and Bryson, while injecting a rebellious spirit in me. And I'm happy that my brother and I made him proud 🙏🏻
