since moving to galar (lol). loves that they've adopted curry as a celebrated dish. he likes it extra spicy, of course! (laurel, a white girl & ice type, does not)
he's shown to have a sweet tooth in the anime so I think he loves when laurel makes him a treat :3

I think laurel is ok at it, not the greatest but passable. lost interest in improving post-divorce, doesn't have to impress some ingrate anymore. she's better at baking sweets but does so rarely.
otoh I always hc'd kabu as a great cook. he's learned to make delicious food—
