@PhilipGreenspun Climate Change™ manifests in many different ways, more forest fires are but one. Others include warming seas, rising sea levels as polar ice fields and glaciers melt, changes to insect and animal populations, shorter winters, longer summers, etc.

Climate Change (TM) was supposed to make Florida uninhabitable and send people fleeing to safety in the Midwest and Northeast. If we accept that the Canadian fires are the result of Climate Change, however, it seems that the Midwest and Northeast are the worst-affected. Florida's summer 2026 weather isn't dramatically different from the 30-year average. The Midwest/Northeast have been baking hot and, now, smoking hot.
