Sex work is the voluntary exchange of a service for capital. Sex work is work. Sex trafficking is not a voluntary exchange. When you conflate these things you do a disservice to both consensual workers and trafficking victims.

This bill does not decriminalize anything for trafficking survivors or people in the sex trade. It does the opposite by expanding the definition of prostitution, ensuring even more survivors will be prosecuted.

90% of sex trafficking survivors reported experiences of arrest, often for offenses under similar anti-trafficking legislation. Of those, 81% reported their criminal history as a barrier to obtaining employment and 55% as a barrier to housing.

Consider signing the petition to stop Pennsylvania's #sb45. The bill does not strengthen accountability for traffickers. It expands the criminalization net around survivors. People shouldn't be sent to prison because they experienced trafficking. docs.google.com/document/d/1sN…

Stop confusing low barriers to entry with easy money/ easy work. Sex work, like most other forms of labor, is not an inherently easy job. Suggesting that just because someone is working in an industry you don't like that means their labor is invalid is an insult to all workers

Sex workers have been trying to warn you guys for a while, but because everybody was OK with them doing it to pornography and erotic performers; no one listened. Legislators are using peoples compassionate fear and panic around protecting and saving children + stopping trafficking to usher in nefarious ass Trojan horse legislation to further infringe on your guys bodily autonomy + human rights + access to information. The hyper visibility around sex work did not serve us and now the hyper visibility around fandoms, etc ain’t gonna be serving y’all either.
