Sex workers and survivors are worthy of policies and programs that meet their needs… Not the feminist need for a knee jerk policy recommendation like #nordicModel. It fails everywhere it’s implemented.

Too often, violence against sex workers is ignored until there is a body count. Too often, our reports are dismissed. Too often, the people harming us are treated as less urgent because their victims are treated as less valuable. #ListenToSexWorkers

Sex workers know violence intimately. We know what it means to calculate risk before entering a room. We know what it means to text a friend a location, screen a client, negotiate boundaries, hide cash, leave quickly, or decide whether calling the police will make it worse.
