Putting Aaron Judge to the side, the USA lineup stunk all WBC outside of playing two really bad teams. And even then, they weren’t that impressive. Bregman, Cal, Buxton, Harper (outside of the HR), and Smith were not good. Cal got benched. I forgot Clement was on the team. Oof.

@RomeInTheEast I’ve become obsessed by it tbh. The main thing that fueled the initial curiosity was a combo of the Sailing to Sarantium fantasy series by Guy Gavriel Kay and the whole immensity of a state that existed for over 1,000 years was endlessly fascinating to me
